In October 2023, Mayor Ana Mula inaugurated the new and successful Mural Walk in the neighborhood of “El Boquetillo.” This project has transformed this iconic working-class neighborhood into an incredible open-air urban art museum, consisting of twenty large decorative murals painted on the facades of buildings along La Paz and Valladolid streets.

For this project, urban artists of national and international renown have collaborated, such as:
- Mon Devane
- Lula Goce
- Lidia Cao
- Murfin
- Steve Camino
- EL Alfil
- Not Japi
- Kato
- Francisco Alarcón Pérez
- Lalone
- Nesui
- José Fernández RÃos
- Slim Safont
- Wedo Goás
- Lily Brick.
If you come to visit, it’s worth mentioning that along the Mural Walk route, you’ll find a plaque at each mural providing a brief description of the artist and the story behind each mural. It’s truly a unique experience we recommend you to live, as besides being entirely free, the El Boquetillo neighborhood is located right in the heart of Fuengirola and is very accessible, easily reachable on foot.
